Zion
Natural History Association
As a non-profit organization the Zion Natural History Association (ZNHA) uses publishing, education, and research to promote the history and importance of Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Pipe Springs National Monument. Many committed people in the Association volunteer to protecting these incredible places.
ZNHA’s bookstore is one of its primary sources of funds. The store sells numerous books, videos/DVDs, and maps -- some of which are produced by the ZNHA -- that provide detailed information about Zion National Park. Tourists can use these publications to better plan their vacation by studying the history and nature of the areas before they visit.
Zion Canyon Field Institute is ZNHA’s outreach branch that hosts many workshops, presentations, guided hikes, and other activities for the public year round. Experts conduct these events; they lead participants in activities like searching for tracks of ringtails and wild turkeys with a wildlife biologist or photograph a breathtaking rainbow as it appears. By engaging people in tactile activities the institute can better educate and excite them about this grand area.
